General Information

Katanga Express 80% WG contains Fosetyl-aluminium as the active ingredient. Fosetyl-aluminium is a systemic alkyl phosphate fungicide used for the control of early and late blight in potatoes and tomatoes, and downy mildew in roses. It is rapidly absorbed through plant leaves or roots and translocated both upwards (acropetally) and downwards (basipetally) within the plant.

Mode of Action

Fosetyl-aluminium acts by inhibiting spore germination and mycelial growth, while also enhancing the plant’s natural defense mechanisms against disease.

Mixing Instructions

Fill spray tank halfway with clean water.
Add the measured dose of Katanga Express 80% WG.
Top up with water while maintaining agitation.
Ensure thorough mixing using mechanical or hydraulic agitation.
Use only clean water for dilution.
Mix compatibility and crop safety tests are recommended before tank mixing with other fertilizers or pesticides.

Resistance Management

Katanga Express 80% WG is classified as a Group U fungicide.
Rotate with fungicides from different groups to reduce resistance risk.

Safety & Handling

Re-entry interval: Avoid sprayed areas until leaves are dry.
Pre-harvest interval (PHI): 21 days for potatoes and tomatoes.
Compatible with most IPM programs and safe for beneficial insects such as honeybees and earthworms.
